An Elvis Presley fan is about to have the chance to own a personal piece of the King's life: his Bible, which is heading to auction. GWS Auctions has already received a bid of $30,000, with the live auction starting on May 25. This special Bible, embossed with "Elvis Aaron Presley" in gold, is filled with bookmarked pages and underlined passages that resonated with Elvis.

Accompanying the Bible is a handwritten letter from Elvis' cousin, Patsy Presley. According to the auction house, this Bible was one of three found by Patsy and Elvis' father while packing his belongings after his death. This particular Bible was discovered in Elvis' nightstand.

Elvis was not only a rock star but also deeply spiritual. He often turned to the Bible to calm his nerves and pray before performances.

Interestingly, the auction house's owner, Brigitte Kruse, was Priscilla Presley's former business partner. Kruse has filed a lawsuit claiming Priscilla left her in financial trouble without any warning.

The auction of Elvis' Bible coincides with news of a potential foreclosure auction of Graceland. Elvis' granddaughter, Riley Keough, is working hard to prevent this, alleging that the foreclosure is based on fraudulent loan documents.

While Graceland might be out of reach for most, Elvis' Bible offers a more attainable piece of history for a lucky collector.
NEXT: SCARLETT JOHANSSON HIRES LAWYERS OVER CHATGPT VOICE ... Claims OpenAI Approached Her
OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman said “The voice of Sky is not Scarlett Johansson's, and it was never intended to resemble hers. We cast the voice actor behind Sky’s voice before any outreach to Ms. Johansson. Out of respect for Ms. Johansson, we have paused using Sky’s voice in our products. We are sorry to Ms. Johansson that we didn’t communicate better.” Scarlett Johansson is ready for a legal battle over ChatGPT's newest voice, which she claims sounds too much like hers. On Monday, Johansson reacted to OpenAI's suspension of the AI voice named Sky, after many noted its similarity to her character in the 2013 film "Her." Johansson claims she was approached by OpenAI, including CEO Sam Altman, in September to voice the ChatGPT 4.0 model. She considered but ultimately declined the offer. In December, OpenAI released "Sky," which many said resembled Johansson’s voice, prompting her to seek legal action. Johansson stated that Altman leaned into the "Her" connection by tweeting "her" when Sky was launched, suggesting they tried to replicate her voice. She hired legal counsel, who sent letters to Altman and OpenAI, demanding details on how Sky's voice was created. Johansson said, "As a result of their actions, I was forced to hire legal counsel, who wrote two letters to Mr. Altman and OpenAI, setting out what they had done and asking them to detail the exact process by which they created the 'Sky' voice." She added, "Consequently, OpenAI reluctantly agreed to take down the 'Sky' voice. In a time when we are all grappling with deepfakes and the protection of our own likeness, our own work, our own identities, I believe these are questions that deserve absolute clarity. I look forward to resolution in the form of transparency and the passage of appropriate legislation to help ensure that individual rights are protected." OpenAI denied intentionally imitating Johansson’s voice, but she remains unconvinced. We have reached out to OpenAI for further comments.
