In Cardiff, Lauren Price secured the WBA, IBO, and Ring Magazine welterweight world titles by defeating Jessica McCaskill decisively. The match concluded in the ninth round when McCaskill's swollen eye forced the fight to be stopped. Despite a head clash, Price dominated the scorecards with a superior performance, marking her as the clear winner.
Reflecting on her victory, Price expressed her ambition to build a lasting legacy in boxing, aiming to fight at the Principality Stadium. This milestone came in just her seventh professional bout, following a decorated amateur career that included an Olympic gold medal in Tokyo.

The atmosphere in Cardiff's Utilita Arena was electrifying as Price, backed by fervent home support, entered the ring to the Welsh anthem. Facing a formidable opponent in McCaskill, who had unified two divisions and held a strong record at welterweight, Price showcased her skill and determination.

By the seventh round, McCaskill's condition prompted medical attention, but the fight continued until its inevitable conclusion. Price's victory opens doors to lucrative matchups, with potential bouts against English fighters Chantelle Cameron and Sandy Ryan on her radar.
In a separate bout, Rhys Edwards claimed the WBA Intercontinental featherweight title with a unanimous points victory over Thomas Patrick Ward.

French forward Kylian Mbappe has declared his impending exit from Paris St-Germain at the season's conclusion. The 25-year-old footballer shared this news through a video on his social media platforms.
In the video, Mbappe stated, "I’ve always mentioned that I would communicate with you when the time was right. This is my final year at Paris St-Germain. I have decided not to renew my contract, and thus, our journey will conclude in the upcoming weeks."
With his contract set to expire in June, reports from BBC Sport in February revealed that Mbappe had secured a deal to join Real Madrid this summer.
“It’s an emotional moment, reflecting on the years I’ve had the privilege and honor to represent France’s premier club and one of the world’s best. This club has shaped my early experiences in a high-pressure environment and allowed me to mature alongside some of the greatest players in football history. Announcing my departure is challenging, but after seven years, I am ready for a new challenge,” Mbappe added.
Since his transfer from Monaco to PSG in August 2017 for £165.7 million, Paris-born Mbappe expressed that the club has significantly contributed to both his professional and personal development.
Mbappe, a World Cup champion, holds the title of PSG’s top scorer with 255 goals. His last game at Parc des Princes is scheduled against Toulouse in Ligue 1, followed by matches away at Nice and Metz, and the French Cup final against Lyon at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
