Women have been left 'shocked and confused' after a man's explanation of urinal etiquette to his partner went viral.

For those who usually sit down for their bathroom breaks, the concept of urinals can be quite puzzling. One man decided to clear things up for his partner by explaining the unwritten rules of using a urinal.

In a conversation with his partner Courtney, social media influencer Alex Quist drew a diagram of five urinals and posed a question: "Only three stalls can be chosen. Do you know which three?" Courtney, a bit hesitant, guessed the left, middle, and right ones. Alex confirmed: "That's right, these are the only three you can pick if you're one of the first people in there. You don't want to be shoulder to shoulder with anybody. You always choose the end ones."

But urinal etiquette is even more nuanced than that. For instance, if someone "breaks the rule" by choosing the spot between the end and the middle one, despite the rest being free, the next person has to pick the farthest one available, disrupting the whole system.

Alex then emphasized the "main rule"—never engage in chit-chat with anyone at a urinal. "You look at the wall and take care of your business," he instructed.

A puzzled Courtney then asked what the protocol would be if four people needed to use the facilities. Alex explained that if the three appropriate urinals are occupied, you have two choices: either "suck it up" and stand "shoulder to shoulder" with another person or opt for a stall. However, one particular 'rule' about urinal etiquette left Courtney utterly perplexed.

Her husband's advice was that when using a stall, it's "always good practice to keep the stall open while you pee" to make it feel more like a urinal experience.

Courtney was naturally baffled by this so-called 'rule', which she deemed unnecessary. Yet, according to Alex, there's no need to close it "if you're standing up." It seems Courtney wasn't alone in her confusion over these toilet tactics.

MAFS Australia: What does the wind emoji mean? Fans baffled as Jack sends coded message Fans are playing detective after Jack sent a coded message to Ridge. Jack and Tori's intimacy has been a hot topic on the show as the tatted groom questioned their sexual chemistry early on. But that's all changed as Jack confirmed on last night's episode they have now done the deed, seven weeks into marriage. Jack Dunkley texted fellow groom Ridge Barredo as soon as it had happened. Ridge announced the news to the rest of the group and said Jack's bombshell message was followed by a 'wind emoji'. This baffled the brides and grooms - as well as MAFS fans - as they tried to figure out what the wind emoji signaled, and now Jack has come clean about what he really meant. "Jack had sex with Tori yesterday morning and messaged me straight away — because we're boys like that," Ridge blurted out to the group, but then Jade noted the specific, and confusing emoji used. She added: "You know what he texted Ridge?" And scrunched her face and said: "The wind emoji." Emojis can be a great way to add context to messages, but it was unclear what Jack could have meant by putting a wind emoji after revealing the couple have consummated their marriage. While it caused huge speculation on the show, the group came up with two translations - either Jack was about to dump his wife, or something awkward happened under the sheets. "When Jack messaged me, he sent the wind emoji and I wasn't too sure what it meant," Ridge said. Lauren then suggested it meant "ghost" and concluded that Jack was planning on doing a runner on Tori. She declared: "It was a smoke bomb emoji — like, I'm outta here." She then alternatively suggested it could also mean someone farted. But what does the wind emoji really mean? Jack recently cleared the air and answered the question on everyone's mind in an exclusive chat, where he revealed the emoji's meaning. He said: "We message each other quite a bit, we send emojis, we have a joke all the time," he said about his friendship with Ridge. "The wind emoji for me was kind of like smoke, like 'damn that was hot', like 'pop off', a bit of smoke, you know," he added. "A bit of relief, a bit of smoke – I didn't know if I was going to send him a flame. It was basically smoke, like 'damn that was hot'."
