Taylor Swift Files Trademark For 'Female Rage: The Musical'

Taylor Swift is officially laying claim to a nickname for a new part of her "Eras" tour -- and while it remains to be seen if it'll amount to anything ... she's at least locking down the rights.
The singer filed a trademark application last week -- and it touches on something she shouted out this weekend during her Paris stint ... namely, 'Female Rage: The Musical.'
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
In documents obtained by TMZ ... TAS Rights Management -- a company owned by Taylor -- filed paperwork to trademark the phrase ... which, as the singer explained on social media Sunday, was the theme of her newly added "Tortured Poets Department" set.
While the filing didn't indicate Taylor's plans for the trademark ... it does lay out everything she wants the right to do with the term, including turning into musical recordings, video recordings as well as slapping it onto a bunch of crap for potential merchandise.
The move might be protective ... as some fans have already started to try branding their own stuff with 'Female Rage: The Musical' -- so this could be Taylor blocking the vultures.
A number of shirts and sweatshirts have already popped up on Etsy, featuring the now viral saying and Taylor's likeness from her tour. So, it only makes sense for Taylor to try and monetize on the phrase ... or at the very least, protect her ability to make money off it.
Remember ... Taylor shook things up big time for the European leg of her Eras tour -- introducing at her Paris shows a new intro, a slew of costume changes, and several tweaks to the lineup.
Not only did Taylor rearrange the order in which she performed her different eras, but she also added 7 songs from her record-breaking new album, 'TTPD.'

It's clear that Taylor is trying to keep things fresh ... as her tour is running throughout the rest of 2024. Now, in terms of whether we'll see 'Female Rage' manifest into anything more beyond a zippy new catchphrase ... time will tell, we suppose. It has a nice ring to it.
Considering how shrewd of a businesswoman she is ... we wouldn't be surprised to see it brought to life!

NEXT: OpenAI unveils newest AI model, GPT-4o
OpenAI has unveiled GPT-4o, a significant update to its AI language model, enhancing ChatGPT’s functionality and user experience. This new model, available to both paid and unpaid users, transforms ChatGPT into a versatile digital personal assistant capable of real-time, spoken conversations, text interactions, and “vision” tasks, allowing it to analyze screenshots, photos, documents, and charts. During a demonstration, OpenAI's CTO Mira Murati highlighted GPT-4o's memory capabilities, enabling it to learn from previous interactions and perform real-time translations. “This is a major leap in ease of use,” Murati said, emphasizing the natural and intuitive interaction with the AI. This update is part of OpenAI's strategy to maintain its competitive edge in the rapidly evolving AI landscape, with rivals like Google and Meta also advancing their AI models. Google is expected to announce updates to its Gemini AI model, which, like GPT-4o, is multimodal and can handle text, images, and audio. Apple is also anticipated to reveal AI integrations in its upcoming iPhone and iOS updates. OpenAI’s enhancements benefit Microsoft, a major investor in the company, by embedding AI technology into its products. The demonstration showcased ChatGPT engaging in a variety of tasks, such as solving math problems, narrating bedtime stories, providing coding advice, and even recognizing and responding to user emotions. The model's ability to conduct conversations in over 50 languages, along with the introduction of a ChatGPT desktop app, expands its accessibility and utility. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman praised the new voice and video modes as revolutionary, comparing the experience to AI from movies. The rollout of GPT-4o's features will occur in the coming months. Free users will have a limited number of interactions with GPT-4o before reverting to GPT-3.5, while paid users will enjoy extended access. OpenAI’s announcement aims to bolster the already substantial user base of over 100 million, potentially attracting even more users through enhanced capabilities and new platforms for interaction.
